Big Brothers...

Make messes and then leave the little brother to take the blame

Torment
(but this little brother is slowly gaining on him, it won't be long until he can stick up for himself)

Love
(even when little brother has baby food all over him)

Comparison #2 -- 9-months

Although he is not as crazy, Blake still has just as much personality crammed into a little body as Ash did at his age....just a little quieter!

Blake at 9-months (eating avocado and smiling!)
Ashton at 9-months (eating avocado, smiling...and screaming!)

Ash's First Day of the Year

As you recall....Ash started skiing last year. He had his first day up a little while ago (mom's behind in posting), and he loved it just as much! His skinny little legs still need to gain a little muscle to fully execute the "pizza", but other than that, he is catching on super quick! We have some lessons planned up at Deer Valley in the next little bit, so I am sure this won't be the last you hear.

Blakester's 9-months old!

I can't believe that my little Blake is growing up so fast. I swear this 9 months has gone by so much quicker than Ashton's ever did.

Blake is the sweetest little buddy. Here are some things that I love about him!

* He is our little giant...weighing in at about 22 lbs!
update: his 9-month checkup proved our scale wrong, he is actually only 19 lbs 11 oz. Not as big as we thought!
But he does have his first ear infection...boo.

* He smiles at everything and anyone!

* He is content to just be...he rarely lets out a peep, and never really cries (which is a complete change from when he was little)

* He doesn't crawl (refer to the previous bullet). Why would he when he has a big brother that brings him toys every second?

* He has one tooth

* He is the stinkiest baby you will ever know. Even if I give him a bath right before bed, he wakes up stinky. I have learned to love his little smell.

* He is the messiest eater I have ever seen (again, refer to the previous bullet). He insists on sucking his two fingers after every bite, and then likes to play and grab everything after doing so.

* He has a go-go-gadget arm...his reach is unbelievable!

* He sucks his first two fingers when he is tired.

* His hair is the softest. It is finally starting to lay down a little bit, which I am kind of sad about.

* He thinks his brother his for sure the coolest person he knows.

This little man can brighten anyone's day...I love him so much!

{mur}made -- Grand Opening

My Etsy shop is up and running! I have been planning on opening one for a long time, but finally found the time to make enough to start. I don't quite have everything up, but I will keep adding! Check back often...

Jesus Wants Me For a Sunbeam

I pray for this teacher daily....maybe she can handle my child better than I can (I sure hope so!)

Happy New Year!

Our New Year's Eve was a fun one! We spent it with the Barkers, but most importantly, Aunt Molly!!!

On New Year's Day, we did our sort-of annual sledding with the Woods! I say, sort-of, because we can only do it if they are in town!!

The kids loved it and they loved each other...as you'll see in the pictures!

Welcome Home Aunt Molly

Aunt Molly returned home from the Toronto West mission on December 30th. We are so glad she is home. Watching her come down the escalator was like no time had passed...she looked exactly the same. Ashton loves her and she got to meet Blakester for the first time!

First Day in Two Years

I didn't ski last year due to pregnancy, but it sure felt good! (in a hurts-so-good kind of way)
